An entirely revamped 2025 The Nissan Murano is here with all new features
The first brand-new generation of Nissan’s luxury crossover since 2015, the 2025 Nissan Murano, has been unveiled.
From a design perspective, the new 2025 Nissan Murano is a hybrid of the company’s EV product, the Ariya, and its mainstream crossovers. Split headlights and dashed daytime running lights, which appear to be becoming more and more common across Nissan’s whole lineup, give the front a radical makeover. It has a unique appearance, and next to the right front headlight, the word “Murano” is stamped.
With its tautly arched roofline and corresponding brightwork to highlight its sweep, the profile is smooth and rounded, evoking the Ariya EV. At the rear, the Nissan emblem splits the now-standard full-width taillight arrangement, which now has restained detailing and the Murano name written in block letters beneath it.
Intricate detailing on the new wheel designs creates an intriguing contrast to the Murano’s sleeker, simpler body. The 2025 Nissan Murano is positioned in the Nissan portfolio between the larger Pathfinder and the smaller Rogue in terms of size.
The Ariya theme is carried inside with a sleek, simple dashboard that includes a two-spoke steering wheel, a dual-screen display panel, and even comparable climate controls set into a piece of imitation wood trim. Like the exterior, the new front seats have a smooth, serene appearance with the option of rich-looking quilted quilting.
Subtle ambient lighting is present on the dash and front and rear door panels, and all seats use Nissan’s superb “zero-gravity” design. The new Murano’s ICE powertrain, which necessitates things like transmission tunnels running down the middle of the interior, is probably why the Ariya’s innovative sliding center console and operated hidden tray features were not included.
Three trim levels—SV, SL, and the top-tier Platinum—will be available for the 2025 Nissan Murano. The more expensive SL and Platinum trims will come with AWD as standard, while the base SV trim will have FWD as standard and AWD as an option.
All 2025 Nissan Muranos are equipped with a motorized liftgate, a 12.3-inch central infotainment screen, a digital driver’s display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and heated/powered front seats. Customers who upgrade to the SL level will get a 360-degree camera system, a panoramic sunroof, and a Bose premium audio system. Premium Platinum levels come with heated rear seats, semi-aniline leather seats, head-up displays, and massaging front seats.
The engine and transmission combination of the 2025 Infiniti QX60 serves as inspiration for the 2025 Nissan Murano. Accordingly, the 2.0-liter four-cylinder variable-compression-ratio engine that powers all Muranos produces 241 horsepower and 261 lb-ft of torque.
These are by no means enormous figures, but given that the Murano is a smaller car, we anticipate it to be at least as fast as the Inifiniti, which can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 7.5 seconds. For the majority of consumers, these relaxed power numbers should be sufficient because the car is more relaxed and focused on luxury. Similar to the previous model, this engine’s combined fuel economy in both FWD and AWD versions is 23 mpg. The drone-like CVT from the previous generation will be replaced by a nine-speed automatic transmission in all Muranos.
Pricing information will be available closer to the 2025 Nissan Murano’s on-sale date, which is early next year.
